JENNY NOVAC

Jenny Novac is a nonprofit professional, strategist, fundraiser, and content writer with 15 years of diverse experience. She currently runs Novac Consulting with a focus on supporting mission-driven organizations through sustainable strategies and deliberate development planning and implementation.

From 2018-2023, Jenny served in myriad executive leadership roles at Gibney. In addition to overseeing multiple cross-functional and strategic initiatives, she directed Development, Education, HR & Culture, Marketing & Media, organizational COVID-19 response, Rentals, and the Operations of Gibney's two-location Center throughout her tenure. Prior, Jenny served as Director of Campaign & Major Gifts for a $90M capital/endowment campaign at Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, Director of Development at RIOULT Dance New York, and as a consultant with DUNCH: Cultural Leadership for a Creative World, where she worked on a range of fundraising, campaign management, and strategic planning projects for over 15 performing arts clients.

For over a decade, Jenny contributed to various online publications as a dance critic and, in 2016 and 2022, she developed a graduate course/web-based resource, launched by DePauw University’s 21st Century Musician Initiative, with a team of scholars in the field of arts entrepreneurship. She currently serves on the Board of Groove With Me, a free dance school for girls in East Harlem. Jenny earned her M.A. in Nonprofit Management through the University of Kentucky’s online graduate program and holds a B.A. in Writing & Performing Arts as a Catalyst for Social Change from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
