OPEN ACCESS INTENSIVE

OPEN ACCESS was my introduction MOVE|NYC|. I was immediately struck by Nigel and Chanel’s commitment to the rigorous training offered at this life changing program. I remember an incredible change in how I approached the creative process, my improvisation, and being a part of a community. MOVE was an instant family dedicated to excellence. Now, as a freshman at The Juilliard School, I am consistently referencing the tools that I learned at MOVE|NYC|.

OPEN ACCESS was my first introduction to a professional space tailored specifically for young creatives. I was entrusted to actively contribute to an artistic process in studios filled with highly skilled and passionate dancers. I learned what it means to take on responsibility and pride for a project where I have given my fullest self. Now at Princeton University, I owe so much to this extraordinary program and the indelible mark it has made on my journey.

MOVE|NYC|’s OPEN ACCESS Intensive  pushed me past my perceived limits and taught me not only to be confident in myself, but in my technique as well. I learned how to be an asset in the space and always keep an open mind. Since the OPEN ACCESS Intensive, I am constantly applying myself and remaining comfortable with the uncomfortable. I am so glad to have experienced this wonderful program and I will forever be grateful.

MOVE|NYC|’s OPEN ACCESS Intensive was an incredible experience! My favorite part of the week was surrounding myself with very driven and diverse people that I now call my friends. The OPEN ACCESS Intensive was a life-changing experience for me, significantly enhancing my growth and versatility as an artist and allowing me to collaborate closely with other young professionals and stellar faculty.

Taking part in OPEN ACCESS with MOVE|NYC| was a great experience that allowed me to explore my artistry and creativity. During this one week process of hard work and dedication, I was able to become a blank canvas and soak in all of the new information that would help me grow as an artist. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity and where it has led me to become a MOVE|NYC| Young Professional today.
